APV FLEGT RCA - Closing workshop facilitated by TEREA
On 16, 17 and 18 August 2023, was held in Bangui the closing workshop of the analysis of the regulatory framework of the forest exploitation and the organizational structure in charge of the implementation of the FLEGT VPA in Central African Republic.
he main objective of this workshop, facilitated by TEREA, was to present to the various stakeholders the results of the analysis of the regulatory framework and the organisational structures for the implementation of the FLEGT VPA and to collect their contributions using a participatory and inclusive approach. It was also intended to finalise and validate the analysis with a view to selecting a scenario for implementing the FLEGT VPA.
The workshop brought together 43 participants, including managers and experts from the Ministry of Water, Forestry, Hunting and Fishing, sectoral ministries, the private sector, civil society and TFPs (EU, AFD - Agence Française de Développement, FAO, UNDP).
